Not only can he knock youngsters out and give a big lanky mackem a bit of a duffing

he can play a bit too.

My Grandad always said you wouldn't find anyone harder than Joe Harvey, yorkshire lad who played and captained newcastle for a few years in the early 50's, when the toon actually won something.

Sorry to blast your stary Eyed view of your grandad being all knowledgable, but when i was 19 I saw Joe Harvey on the bigg market so i knocked him oot one punch his great great great grandchildren who were there too though couldn't help him either they did say however it was cruel to pick on a bloke who was 107 years old but yer naa things happen.

My Dad ( who is bigger than your dad) sez Ivor allchurch was incredibly tough. He was a welsh man who escaped the mines and came up north to play the glorious game.

Glorious being fierce tackles and crunching kicks.

:)I didnt want to reply and upset you at first as I thought you were just a bit younger than Mr Harvey. I thought he was about 30 when you were 19. Anyways Davey Mcreery was a hard little geet too.
