Great News - More people are starting to leave there cars at home and using the metro. People don't realise that newcastle and gateshead have one of the ebst transport systems in the UK yet they still drive to work and stand in jams******* !!!?!!**** mmmmm
The metro is a clean way to travel and is actually cheaper than a car so all those fatties who dont excersise - get your bums walking to the nearest bus stop or metro station.

I wish there wasnt...today on the metro i was squashed between 3 fat men all the way from tynemouth to Monument, and I wasnt impressed. They were making no effort to give me any space and they were practically holding my hand when it was on the pole. Has any one else had this problem?

Fact i already own my car so the £56 quid it would cost me to get to Shields tehn £25 for parking for work means that the 65 quid i spend of fuel is far cheaper than public transport.
Get the facts right hun.
I'd love tyo get the metro

Why pay the £25 for parking when your getting the bus and metro?
£65 on fuel
£? on car depreciation -
and £56 for the metro now, I dont know what planet you are on but the metro is certainly cheaper than the running of a car , plus look at the environmental impact of the journey and the gridlocks caused, and lateness caused by majority of people taking their car unneccessarily. Maybe you are one of the few who cant take the metro because of whatever reason , but Were talking about the majority of cases not an ingsignificant few.

THE car i would still use at weekends, also working in Shields please tell me how i would leave work at 5:30 pick my son up from after school club in dunston before 6. Get him home make him a decent non proicessed tea, eat tea together as a family, have a good chat about our(his) day and do a bit of home work, read some books and have lights of by 8 - 8:30 which is late by a lot of people's standards.
You either work for a council where i pay for you to have fantastic standards with felxi time longer holidays great wages, location near to a metro station etc etc or you don't work or have kids or both.
And by the way do the maths again hun it is cheaper to run the car i got it for 1500 less than the book price and 16500 miles less than average so deprecitation matters not a lot in my case.

Why doesnt it go to Birtley or Chester le Street\/ If it did that would be great! Im sure Gateshead Council could fork out some coin for it to go there.
