JJB Gym Byker - Is it good Value?

Alreet,
Im looking for a decent Gym around Byker or Heaton area for general fitness. I don't need a too flash a gym, but someone said they thought that gym was ok, any members around or someone thats been before? Just let me know. I used to be a member of fitness first but wasnt too impressed.

Ive heard jjb fitness on shields road is good and has a pool. Ive also used a gym in heaton called goldstar health club and its a really good friendly place. I live in north shields though and havent been there for a while though i suspect its still the same.

Well I Joined and the gym is great, Ive managed to lose 2 stone in 7 months (and i only go 2-3 times a week)and the crowd there are really friendly.

And it was a good gym has everything you need and probably a bit more however today's news that JJB are in serious trouble means the gyms are likely to be sold and who knows what will happen to them then
