Teachers Strike @ Rowlands Gill Primary

Hi,
Does anyone else feel annoyed at the teachers strike. Today I had to take a day off work to look after my 2 children. I myself work in the public sector and do a job as important as teachers. I had to train for longer and I don't have as much time off OR get paid as much! I can understand the teachers in London wanting more for the cost of living - but here in Tyneside!

Penny, i totally understand your point of view (i am really happy you have commented on this). Being a mother myself i had to also look after my children who attend Atkinson Primary, which messes with their routines and plans i had for the day. Although i have the greatest respect for teachers, i feel the strike was a huge pain for all of us.

Surely the majority of teachers didnt want to strike anyway.

Students are told not to take time off school and aim for 100% attendance record whatever the excuse. Teachers are really showing the way it should be done :confused:
