Springs - Gateshead! Any Good?

I live in South Lowfell (AKA Birtley) and Springs isn't too far away in Lowfell. Is this place good value for money? Is the pool any good? And most importantly, is it a friendly crowd? It gardens around it look a bit shabby but I imagine inside it will be nice.

I would say instead of going to Springs or the like paying £50 a month why dont you go to a personal trainer and pay £80 a month for once a week sessions. It will be much more benificial---i mean lets face it you probably will only go to the gym 2 times a month anyway :) costing £25 a go. lol.
Personal Trainers will also make you work to the max and it will give you the focus to go and get fit the right way!

Springs is a good health club. FX Gym on the team valley has more equipment to use though and it has a better pool in my opinion. It's a shame though as i live closer to Springs.

One more plus side - the men at the FX Gym are better looking than the ones at Springs lol

To return the favour the girls are Hot Hot Hot can't help myself but go to the gym

Lastly does anybody else have the following problem, I was on the tred mill the other day nearing the end of my run when 3 tyneside -tyneside -tyneside -tyneside -tyneside - cat dolls songs came on in a row followed by Rhianna's disturbia i end up running twice as fast for twice as long.

I have been a member there since November 07 great gym excellent equipment great atmosphere and if you not in the mood for a work out then the pool/spa/sauna area is a good place to relax.

I think Springs is a great place (although not a member right now). Great location, decent crowd, loads of gym equipment, and good squash courts if you wanna play.

And.....some hot girls too, Im sure there on a par with FX Gym haha

MY sister tells me a rumour was going around about SPRINGS that it was full of swingers i told not to be stupid it was a bloody gym then i found out she had joined i thought does that tell me more about my sister or what.
