I think the best palce to go is the northeast's very own curry mile, how on earth this ended up being in south shields i'll never know.
I remember as a kid loving the look of all the bright signs but hating the food, now i love the food . Dilshad is my favourite.

Then of course you have Gormans chippy stuck in the middle Ha Ha i wonder if in mumbai theres a street with 50 fish and chip shops and one little stroe doing curry and rice LOL

I took the bairn down to the concerts at sea front last year and couldn't believe the amount of restaurants.

We want to one i think was called Asha or Usha or some thing it was great food at good prices if i remember right it has happy hour on a sunday night.

You cant beat the curry houses on Ocean Road in South Shields, massive choice and the prices are really low too. So if you fancy a good night out get a few drinks in shields and get off to Ocean Road.

Even if you live in Newcastle you should give it a try and get the last metro home.

this tandoori is class not that big but does great food and the tandoori is obviously its speciallity it was fab.

But that was a year ago or so.
