Are Geordies the tightest in England?

Are geordies tighter than the scots? Sometimes I hear my friends speaking about how cheap they got a holiday or what a bargain tv theyve bought ect and i think they are always going on about how to get things cheap.

"How much did you pay for your holiday?" they ask

"£500 " i reply
"really"! i got my holiday for "£400"

Geordies only seem to frivilous when it comes to buying alcohol!:)

Maybe we are tight Stav but maybe thats coz we dont get paid as much lolly as our people in the south.

It might just be the case that we might like to save £50 here and there so we can put it to better use ie--10 pints in the toon and a kebab to finish the neet off!
