Whats going on with UK and snow--headline news??????

Russia has had 15ft of snow and they keep on working and their schools stay open
USA had 11 foot of snow
Germany - has had 10ft of snow and they carry on working and their schools stay open
England has 1 foot of snow (if that) and the country stops and people stay off workand schools and transports stop.

Is this England being pathetic once more---the bbc said its had tens of thousands of images sent in...WHAT?
