If you think we're in a bad position then look back to 1986 when Sunderland
where dumped into the third division by
Tony Cascarino and Gillingham.
The only game i have ever been to where the was three segregated areas for fans.
The Home fans
The usual Roker away end.
And the terracing in front of the clock stand where over 1000 geordies gleefully watched as the worst moments of SAFC's history dawned upon them could it have been any worse to have your bitterest rivals there to laugh their socks off at your demise.
So whilst where not winning titles we're nowhere near as crap as sunderland
