hello all,

Who reckons there'll be any good outdoor festivals this year? I think Newcastle and Gateshead are lacking on that front. Leeds and Manchester seem to have some great events which don't need to have tens of thousands there. Is Newcastle lacking on the cultural front...are we just a bunch of beer drinking slobs? I dont think so...so come lets get some action going down...we've got some great sites, in the summer we could use the quayside, i dont want to have to wait years for the tall ships to come back!

There's loads of festivals going on...in addition to the ones made by Cheezer there is the SAMA Festival which was on last october and i think will be on this october. Great multi-cultural event with loads of artists including "Asian Dub Foundation" who were absolutely mint.

There were thousands that turned up the festival next to the baltic - newcastle gateshead and Gemarts and a few others set it up. Theres loads going on in the area - just got to keep your eyes and ears open.

Jo:)

Hi ,

I also went to the SAMA festival it gets a thumbs up from me, it was great fun, and I wasn't expecting the ADF to be there.
