FX Gym Team Valley

Just thought I'd ask - has anyone been or a member of the FX Gym on the Team Valley in Gateshead? I went last night and don't get me wrong , it's a plush gym, with good machines, weights ect, but I've never seen a gym so busy. I couldn't get on the treadmill for ages (some people were on them for 30 mins!) - is this just a january new year thing or do will it be like this all the time? Hope not Ive sined up for a year - yes im also one of those january new year things. Maybe I should have went for a run up old durham road instead.

Ive been going to this Gym for over a year. You will be please to know that it's just a new year thing and the newbies will soon be slacking off once we hit end of feb..lol

It;s usually quite good and the machines are generally freely available but when i was there last week, i couldn;t even get on the treadmill. Give it a couple of more weeks and you'll see the space in their freeing up. One problem I have with the FX Gym is that theyve know drinks fountain and that water costs £1 a small bottle from the counter--Anyone agree? Shall we get a petition going?

I agree with Rosie....Great Gym, loads of machines, January a bit too full though especially at tea time. One concern..a bit too expensive AND should have a water fountain incase forgot water bottle for quick drinking.

The thing that got me is its alweays that Harrogate spa water too and it's no better than tap water how they get anybody to buy it i'll never know.

My Wife cancelled her membership at FX and she got a letter saying sorry to see you go we hope you keep on staying fit. Not a single word about coming back i mean how keen are these people on maintaining business. Surely they should make some effort

Well not really but they have got a sink at the desk (right hand side as you face it) and they happily fill your water bottle up for you.

You know what i like best about FX is the free video hire as it has to be back the next day it encourages you to go to the gym again whilst it doesn't always work its a good service

Cheers that will save me a £1 a time, but Rosie it seems that the newbies are a bit more steely than you thoiught this place is a nightmare between 5 and 8:30
