Does anyone else feel the same as me? The Gateshead side of the river just doesnt look the same now that the boat has gone. Maybe it's because Ive some great memories of some of the nights there on the old Tuxedo. Walking drunk across the Swing Bridge after I'd been in jimmyz or Flynns or something like that. that revolving dance follr was great too, not a lot of trouble went off which was great and geneally a good atmosphere to be had by all.
Does anyone know what willbe in its place? Something that willbe a bit to classy for me im sure :)

:)Oh mate, that boat was an eyesore. Great for stag doos ect and hen nights but not good for the area. I loved it when i was a teen but soon become to loath it. When ever im on holiday and meet some people who've been to Newcastle or Gateshead they always say " I love the Boat nightclub" Is that all we had? Just about everything in the toon was bette than that

Well the cleansers are out in force again i see, the boat was great night out and a place of fond memories for many just because Dobsson or grainger didn't design it. It is also a spot where many like I met my wife and i suppose the reason i have 3 great kids. Oh and by the way she is an accoutnant and i a have good job myself so we're not charvas.
Please admin guy don't let these folks suggest we remove the fat and spotty kids from our schools.

Cheezer- Just coz you have a good job doesn't mean you can't be a charva. Does that mean that I'm a charva because I work unskilled in the metro centre?
BTW the boat was in my opinion S**te, and I could think of many more places I would like to meet my wife in

As for meeting my wife I love her with all my soul so the place we met or went for a first date (odeon metreocentre though it was AMC then i hid behind the escalators to get a spy on her first in case i'd made a booboo) matters not.
So if you eventually meet some one good enough for you i'm sure it will be somewhere like cafe 21.
maybe you'll be washing and she'll be drying.
