Does anyone remember how Balmoral Drive used to look like? I don't think it was as bad as St Cuthberts Village but I'm pleased it was knocked down! If anyones got any photos of it please post lol. I know its a lot nicer now!

I never even knew there used to be a different estate there. Its near the top of felling high street isnt it? Talking of which i think it needs sorting out. I drove through it a few weeks ago and it's in a bit of a state. Some nice buildings there but its just rundown.

If you thought Felling High Street was bad, you should walk up and down it now, theres nowt there!!!!!!!!

In these times too how can we get anyone to commercially invest in the place. I think we may see the demise of it and demolished in a few years. Hope not as I used to love the place as a kid, but at the minute theres only about 2 or 3 shops open on it and the rest are boarded up..I feel for the shop owners me. The street just looks a mess.

I remember the place, horrible concrete maisonettes on top of each other....

When you lived on the upper floors you had to put your rubbish down a shoot which landed on a big bin on the ground. Very hygenic-that big bin and surrounding areas wreaked!

Pleased they knocked it down.

I had to do a delivery here on Monday and it was the spitting image of the block of 6 flats my granny lived in in Stenhousmuir in the 1970's i knew then at the age of <9 that it was poor living conditions the council should be ashamed of themselves. Does anyone want to start a thread of places like this to shame our socialist councils in to doing something about these eyesores
